Please welcome Pioneer Pie Co to the Food Truck Collective family and keep an eye out for their award-winning pies at our upcoming events.

Here’s a bit about them to introduce them!

✨What is your business called?

Pioneer Pie Co.

✨Why did you start a food truck?

To bring our handcrafted, award-winning pies straight from our bakery to where people are celebrating events. Pies are the perfect food for any type of event as the appeal to all different people, plus we can cater to different dietary requirements. Moreover, our pies are freshly baked and ready to go from our pie warmer so we can serve customers quickly to avoid cues!

✨What was your biggest challenge?

Our biggest challenge was launching our custom built Pie Truck just before Covid hit, which put the truck out of action for some time while there were restrictions around events. It is so good to be back serving up our yummy pies at events again.

✨ What advice would you give your younger self (before you started your food truck)?

Quality over quantity! We now prefer to be more selective in our work and doing what we do well.

✨What are your plans for the future?

Keep showcasing the best of New Zealand through an iconic national dish using quality ingredients and traditional baking method.
