Meet Brendan & Dani from Crate Kitchen! 🙌

Crate Kitchen is a food truck serving up premium fast food with a focus on the best New Zealand has to offer. Run by hospitality veterans, Brendan Kyle and Dani Donovan, they are available for all types of events and catering from weddings to music festivals. They can do a large range of menu items, outside the listed menu here.

⭐️ Why did you start a food truck?
After over a decade of working in restaurants in New Zealand and Europe we felt it was time to get out there and do something for ourselves, learn to stand on our own two feet. We felt a food truck was the perfect creative outlet.

⭐️ What was your biggest challenge?
Moving our gargantuan 3 tonne trailer! It still gives Brendan nightmares.

⭐️ What advice would you give to your younger self?
You will make the same mistakes everyone else does and that’s fine, learn from it. Also, go camping more often.

⭐️ What are your plans for the future?
To go with the flow and continue doing things we think are cool.
